Only a few years ago, gay marriage in the USA wasn't that easy. Still today there are differences from state to state that make it quite complicated. So it was in Florida, the home Tommy und Chad.
Those circumstances as well as Tommy's German roots and the chance to get married in a church ceremony over in Germany, that is what made Tommy and Chad travel the long way over to Europe.
Two grooms, a bunch of groomsmen and three bridesmaids (or should they be called groomsmaids!?) were the ingredients for a nice getting ready at Schlosshotel Kronberg. The bridesmaids wore Vera Wang wedding dresses which caused some confusion at the hotel, but looked awesome. A bus brought us to the church in Frankfurt where the ceremony at the "Friedenskirche" was as wonderful as it was entertaining. Back at the Hotel the boys got the party started. Already the reception at Tommy's and Chad's room was more than one could expect. And these guys kept going. Emotional speeches, great moments and the realization that even the smallest wedding party can make the dancefloor burn. As alwas the wedding photos just happened along the way. Just as the group-shot that has become my all-time favourite.
Today a lot has changed. In 2015 a Florida court has decided on same-sex marriages being legal in Florida. Over here in Europe, it's already a standard in many countries. Just last year, Ireland for example had a referendum for equality in marriage with a vast minority for it. So it's time for somenhting to happen again also in Germany.
