Wedding at Schlosshotel Kronberg
Castle, mariachis and sparklers for their wedding
Everybody should have this!
Well, not necessarily. However everything at the wedding of Julissa and Nicholas last year came together so beautifully that I'm always stoked when looking at the pictures. And now that the 'Nicholissa Wedding' album is ready, here's a new blog article - despite wedding high season and the consequent backlogs in postproduction work.
The wedding day started early with Julissa's hair and makeup in the tiny Beauty Cottage on the grounds of the Schlosshotel in Kronberg. Hereon, in the legendary room 104, where I already got to experience so many things going on during the last weddings, the purple bridesmaids for one last time lent their hands to bride and wedding dress. Then it was on to the protestant church of St. Johann in the old town of Kronberg, where Nicholas already was waiting nervously for the bride.
There in a fantastic ceremony the two exchanged their vows. An important role played the ring bearers (not to be confused with the ring-bear from one of the last episodes of 'How I Met Your Mother'). WIth safety case and "Official 'Ring Bearer' patch on the chest the boys did their jobs with an admirable seriousness.
What followed was a fantastic wedding at the castle grounds of Schlosshotel Kronberg, with guests from New Mexico and around the world, with mariachis, fireworks and sparklers, with a lot of emotion, with great atmosphere, the best music and excessive partying late into the night.
Last but not least, the wedding cake. Does someone recognize the motive? It's the house from the movie 'Up', a small miracle by Ben Engel of Tortenengel (which means 'Cake Angel' in English).
The movie 'Up' played on the first date of Julissa and Nicholas, that's why... :)
