A Civil Wedding in the City and church ceremony on the mountain
As a wedding photographer from Frankfurt you're not too often at weddings in Franconia - even if it is actually only a stone's throw away. It's a shame, because especially the city of Wuerzburg is wonderful. And so was the wedding of Judith and Tobias.
The two had imposed the strict program of having a tiny civil wedding in the morning in the town hall of Wuerzburg and then a church wedding in the pilgrimage church Maria Heimsuchung on the Nikolausberg in the afternoon.
The baroque church - affectionately known as "Kaeppele" by the people of Wuerzburg - offers a really impressive setting for a wedding and so the couple said yes even more determined. The Nikolausberg also rewards us with its fantastic view over Wuerzburg and the neighboring Marienberg Fortress, and we use this unique location for a few first wedding photos.
Wedding celebration in the garden pavilion in the Juliusspital
The celebration is in the garden pavilion of the Juliusspital. The Juliusspital is not only a hospital and senior citizen center, but also the second largest winery in Germany. The garden pavilion belonging to the winery has nothing to do with the namesake from the hardware store brochure, but is a baroque building from the early 18th century - a dream location for a wedding celebration.
One of the best wedding bands in Germany, Amplitude, took care of the atmosphere and made their way out of the Eichsfeld to get the old hall raging. With success. The party at the wedding reception was definitely impressive. Gladly more of it!
